The General Directorate for Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been looking for flight inspectors to provide details about all inspections and cars carried out for Air India since 2024, sources said on Saturday.
Details of the findings of inspections and audits will have to be submitted by Sunday, they said that the PTI press agency reported.
DGCA searched for these details for 2024 and 2025 (so far) in e-mail communication, which came the day after the Aviation Safety Regulator issued a notification of the airline of air tax restrictions (FDTL), the report said. DGCA also ordered the removal of three higher airline officials from their relevant roles for a certain forfeiture.
The data was sought on the planned and unplanned inspection, audit, cockpit/enroute, station, ramp and cabin inspection, among other things, according to communication, added a PTI message.
The directives come after the air India from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick bearing 242 passengers and crew members crashed shortly after take -off of June 12 and killed over 270 people on board and on the ground.
DGCA orders Air India to remove 3 officials
DGCA ordered Air India owned by the Tata Group to remove three higher officials for forfeiture in planning and formulating the crew and issuing an airline announcement of demonstration for violations of FDTL standards, sources said on Saturday.
In his order of June 20, DGCA noted that three officials, including the divisional vice -president, were involved in “serious and repeated slumps, including unauthorized and incomparable couples, violations of compulsory licensing and relapses and system failures in the planning of the protocol and supervision”.
DGCA ordered airline companies to immediately initiate proceedings against these three officials, the PTI report said.
In its statement, Air India stated that it has recognized the regulatory body and placed an order.
“Meanwhile, the Chief Operating Director of the Company will be direct supervision of the integrated center management center (IOCC).
“Air India has committed to ensuring that security protocols and standard procedures are fully complied with,” the airline said.
ARMS (Air Route Management System) is a software platform used by an airline for various operational and administrative tasks, including crew lists and flight planning, among other things.
247 victims of identified DNA tests
