Air India announced on Saturday (June 14, 2025) that it will provide a temporary payment to 25 lakh families of the deceased and surviving Ahmedabad.
In addition, this interim payment is to compensate Crore 1, which has already been announced by the parent company, Tata Sons, Air India said in its statement.
The Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner bearing 242 passengers, including 12 crew members, crashed in the Meghaninangar area shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad International Airport on Thursday afternoon and killed 270 people, including 241 passengers on board.

“In order to provide immediate financial support, Air India will make an interim payment of 25 lakh or approximately £ 21,000 each of the deceased families and the survivors,” said Campbell, CEO and CEO of Campbell Wilson in a video report.
As he said, the sons of Tata already committed are already committed to crore ₹ 1 or approximately £ 85,000.
On Thursday, Tata Sons N Chandrasecaran, Chairman, announced that the group would provide the families of any person who lost their lives in the accident of Air India, Ahmedabad in Ahmedabad.

“We will complete all checks on the timelines prescribed by the regulatory body. This was confirmed by the authorities,” he said.
He also said that the aircraft data recorder was restored, which will be part of the official investigation, adding that Air India continues to work with these investigations.
