The Association of Good Living Conditions for Taxi on the bike claims that Lakhs of taxi drivers for bicycles in Karnataka face a livelihood crisis because the services remain suspended. In a statement issued by the Association for Social Security for Taxi (BTWA), the drivers said that drivers remained without work for weeks and feared other failures if they were app platforms such as Ola, Uber and Rapido.
“Applications platforms are our only rescue rope that is associated with customers, follows the regulations and earns daily wages. Without them we have no way to keep our families,” said Adi Narayan, President of Btwa.
The Association called on Platforms to provide drivers with free access to their technology to continue operation. “We are sure of support and hope that in Karnataka will restore quick actions to restore livelihoods and urban mobility,” added Mr. Narayan.
Despite clarification of the court, however, the aggregators continue to operate bicycles. 23rd August All three platforms such as Rapido, Ola and Uber have restored taxi services for taxi.
