Former Minister and Head of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI (M)) The leader G. Sudhan on Thursday inserted a statement that the postal vote was manipulated in favor of CPI candidate (M) in the Alappuzha Lok Sabha election district.
At a public meeting on Thursday evening, Mr. Sudhan said there was no such incident vote.
“One day I talked to a little imagination. I never dealt or fake a false vote. The postal ballots were not manipulated. I just gave warnings to union members who did not vote.
On Wednesday at the opening of the former leaders of the Union of NGOs in ALAPPUZHA, Mr. Sudhan said that postal ballots were manipulated in favor of a CPI candidate (m) in Lok Sabha elections in 1989. ”
In 1989, public opinion surveys defeated Vakkom Purushothaman by the Congress of Mr. Ninadas by more than 25,000 votes.
“In 1989, when he attacked Ninadas as a CPI candidate (M), postal ballots belonging to members of service organizations were collected and brought to the district committee office. At that time I was secretary of the election committee.
Mr. Sudhan said there was no obligation for all NGO members to vote for the left democratic front.
“The Union of NGOs is a non -political organization. People of association with any party can be part of it. However, during the elections it should be openly declared who they are voting for. Do not think that if you seal the postal ballot and hand it over, no one will know your decisions,” he added.
On Thursday, the main election office of Keral Rathan U. Kelkar ordered the investigation of Mr. Sudharaan. According to the instructions of the district collector Alhax Vargese, who is also a district election official of AMBALAPPUZHA TECHSILDAR S. Anver recorded his statement.
In the evening, the district collector ordered Alappuzha South Police to look at Mr. Sudhan’s revelation about alleged manipulation of postal voices. Meanwhile, the police said that the decision to register the case would be taken on the basis of the opinion of the representative of the general prosecution of Alappuzha.
“Since the incident in question had occurred a few years ago, we have been looking for a legal opinion and further measures will be taken,” the police officer said.
However, the District Secretary of CPI (M) refused to accuse the posting vote. Mr. Nazar said he did not know the circumstances under which Mr. Sudhan made a statement.
