On Friday (July 18, 2025), China called on regional countries to strengthen cooperation against terrorism to ensure regional security, in a guarded response to the US, which determined the queue of resistance, representative of Pakistan Lashkar-E-Tayyiba (years) as a foreign terrorist organization for its involvement in the hillgam terrorist attack.
“China firmly against all forms of terrorism and strongly condemns a terrorist attack that occurred 22 April,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian on Friday (July 18, 2025) when he asked the US Ministry, which proposes the TRF as a foreign terrorist organization.
“China calls on regional countries to strengthen cooperation against terrorism and jointly maintain regional security and stability,” he said.
In a statement, US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio said earlier that the Foreign Ministry determines the TRF as a foreign terrorist organization and specially designated global terrorists (SDGT).
It was expected that the US TRF name would have an echo in the UN Security Council, especially in the 1267 UNSC Committee, an important mechanism against terrorism against terrorism, which refers to terrorists and their organizations.
Several Pakistani terrorist groups and individuals are listed in the UN Council Council Sanctions, which imposes asset freezing, travel bans and weapons embargo. These include years, Jaish-E-Mohammad (me) and Jamaat-Oud-Dawa (JUD), along with key characters like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar.
Pakistani Dawn, emphasized the importance of the US TRF as a terrorist group, stated in his report that Thursday’s statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reflects an Indian view that claimed that a little known newly created group is actually prohibited.
Twenty -six people were killed in the 22nd April in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The TRF demanded responsibility for the attack, but later retreated as the tension increased between India and Pakistan.
