The Tamil Nadu government turned to the Madras High Court and urged to clarify that his interim order prohibiting the use of any living personality in the nomenclature of government schemes would not apply to “Ungaludan Stalin” and “Kaakum Stalin”.
Main Judge Manindra Mohan Shrivastava and Justice Sunder Mohan on Friday (August 1, 2025) accepted the request of the general advocate of PS Raman for the premature hearing of the adjustment, because the program “NaM Kaakum Stalin” was set on Saturday (August 2, 2025).
The judges said that the petition, if filed by Friday (August 2, 2025), will be launched on Monday (August 4, 2025). Within a few hours, the state government in the High Court register was amended and a detailed honor statement by the Minister of the Public Department of Reet Harish Thakkar.
The honorary statement stated that the public field program called “Ungaludan Stalin” was in operation sometimes and even the petitioner of the court dispute of the public interest of C.VE. Shanmugam, in whose case a temporary order was adopted, did not request any preliminary order against this scheme.
Similarly, the government order for the Naam Kaakum Stalin system, which aims to ensure that health care to the recipients, was issued on June 3, 2025 itself, the public secretary said, claiming that only the opening took place on 2 August 2025 by the management of medical camps in all districts.
Furthermore, Mrs Thakkar said that pamphlets, brochures, applications forms and other related documents for this system, said Mrs. Thakkar said that on Saturday would make a great effort spent on the start of the system if it was related to the provisional provisional order.
“This program was introduced in the name of the Honorary Minister, which is a constitutional body, and cannot be interpreted by introducing in the name of a political personality. The use of photographs of former main ministers is also not explicitly forbidden by the Supreme Court,” he read.
The secretary said the government was ready to attack the main petition by submitting a detailed countermeasure, saying: “The current petition is filed for a limited purpose of striving to clarify that the order cannot apply to the NAM Kaakum Stalin system, which is started tomorrow.”
