
At least five people were killed and several others were injured after the house collapsed after a strong explosion in the village of Pagly Bhari in Ayodhya Uttarprades on Thursday (October 9, 2025), the officials said.
While the cause of the explosion still needs to be ascertained, local officials said it seems to be an explosion of a gas cylinder. “The explosion is likely to be caused by a gas cylinder,” said the Hindus Device Chaturvedi, a local official.
After receiving information about the incident, the police, fire brigade and local administration teams threw themselves into the place. Several people were still feared imprisoned under the debris and rescue operations were underway. “Five people died in the explosion, several of them were injured and efforts to save those trapped,” said Shailendra Singh PTI.
Main Minister Yogi Adityanath realized the incident and expressed a deep condolence of loss of life. According to an official statement, the main minister ordered higher officials to hurry to the place, ensuring proper medical treatment to the injured and personally supervised the ongoing rescue and auxiliary operations.
The houses in the area were evacuated as preventive measures. Officials called on the inhabitants to keep up from the scene of the accident to facilitate rescue efforts.
