After the African swine flu on the farm in Padiyoor Grama Panchayat was confirmed by eleven Panchayat and three municipalities, supervision of strict control measures under the Act on Catastrophe management was given.
The district collector ARUN K. Vijayan said that the departments concerned cooperate on restrictions and urged the public not to fail.
The outbreak was confirmed on Tuesday, August 12, on a pig farm in Kuyiloor in Padiyoor.
The collector called the radius of one kilometer around the affected farm as an area affected by the disease and a radius of 10 kilometers as a tracking zone.
Meanwhile, the sale and distribution of pork and pig transport for three months has been banned in this area.
