When the disaster hit Afghanistan, the Minister of Outdoor Affairs with Jaishankar said he spoke to Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi and expressed his condolences over the death of civilians in tragedy.

Britain determined emergency financing support for those who were affected by the recent earthquake in Afghanistan.
British assistance of £ 1 million will be divided between the UN (UNFPA) population fund and the International Red Cross (IFRC) to provide Afghans with critical health and emergency reserves.
