Hassan’s advocates, who protested the seer’s comments in Hassan on Wednesday, lashed out at Deputy Commissioner KS Lathakumari for not coming out of the office to take their memorandum.
Advocates under the banner of Hassan Advocates’ Association marched from the association building to the Deputy Commissioner’s office and condemned the recent comments made by Gnana Prakash Swamy of Urilinga Peddi Mutt in Mysuru. They expected the Deputy Commissioner to come and take their memorandum.
As Ms. Lathakumari, who chaired the meeting with the officers, did not turn up, the advocates raised slogans against her and moved their protest to the Bengaluru-Mangaluru road in front of the deputy commissioner’s office. They stopped the movement of vehicles and demanded that Ms. Lathakumari come to the protest site and listen to their plea.
The advocates ended their protest after deciding to hold more in the coming days. Association president Karle Moganna Gowda, secretary HR Hombesh and others led the protest.
