Adrian Le Roux, one of the most respected characters in sports science, replaced Soham Desai as a coach of the power and fitness of the Indian cricket team of Indian men on the upcoming tour of England. This means his second Stint with the National Party, after he had previously held a role from January 2002 to May 2003.
Le Roux appeared in a training video shared by BCCI when India began preparations with high intensity on Lord’s before the test series of five matches, which begins on June 20 in Headley, Leeds.
Jasprit Bumhrah, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh trained alongside the newly appointed Captain Skubman Gill, Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and All-Rouder Ravindra Jadej under the supervision of the head coach Gautam Gambira.
Gill enters the 37th Indian Captain after retirement Rohit Sharma and Virt Kohli. He leads a youthful group aimed at gaining the first victory in India, England since 2007.
A series of five tests will be played in Headingley, Edgbaston, Lord’s, Old Trafford and Oval. Meanwhile, there are several India players – including some of the Senior Squad – already in England, currently in the second unofficial test against England Lions in Northampton as part of their acclimatization.
Le Roux’s return to the National Settings follows a successful six -year magic with Kings Pandjab in the Premier League, Indian. In the 2025 season, the franchise ended as a runner and the title of only six runs disappeared. After the Le Roux season, he shared emotional farewell on Instagram, thought about his time with the team, and acknowledged relationships and experiences created along the way.
“And with that, a six -year journey will end with @punjabkingsiP. “But sometimes you pause and realize that even if it comes to performance and pressure, these are people, shared moments and friendships that will last all my life. If I enter a new role with @indiancketteam, I will carry these memories with me.”
The first task of Le Roux in its second charm with India will be a series of five matches in England – a key tour, which also means the beginning of Shabman Gill’s tenure as the captain and the beginning of the new Indian World Test Championship.
