The Adobe Photoshop app launched on Tuesday for several years for iPhone users worldwide. It takes some of the most beautiful editing features offered by a U.S.-based software company and brings it to its iOS apps, enabling a mobile editing experience. Users can leverage artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, such as generating fills and generating extensions, leveraging Adobe’s Firefly AI model to add and delete content from photos or extend them with simple text prompts.
The new iPhone Photoshop app also adds core editing and imaging tools such as layering, masking and access to Adobe assets, although some of them require a premium subscription.
Adobe Photoshop app for iPhone: Availability, price
The Adobe Photoshop app is available for free download on iPhone on the App Store. The company said its Android peers will soon appear. Although it’s free to use, some of its features are locked behind the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.
Its price in India is Rs. 799 or Rs per month. The new Photoshop mobile and networking program is 6,900 per year. It offers features such as magic wands, generation fill and expand, object selection, content-aware fill and advanced blending modes.

According to the company, iOS’s new Adobe Photoshop app has an easy-to-use mobile interface that allows creators to edit. Similar to desktop counterparts, mobile applications provide tools for image editing and design, enabling precise selection, targeted adjustments, and advanced color correction. With the free plan, users can get 5GB of cloud storage to store their edits.
With selection, layers and masks, users can combine, compound and blend images to create unique designs. Tools such as Spot Healing Brush help remove distraction elements, while the Tap Select tool can remove, replace, or re-color parts of the image. Despite being a free app, Adobe brings its AI-powered editing tools to the iPhone.
Generate fills and generate extensions are powered by the company’s proprietary Firefly AI Suite. The former analyzes pixels of an image to add or delete content in the image, matching lighting, perspective, shading, and shadows. Meanwhile, the latter tool is used to extend images outside its boundaries through AI-generated content based on text prompts.
Creators have free access to Adobe Stock Asset Library to enhance their images. It also integrates directly with other Adobe creative applications, including Adobe Express, Adobe Fresco, and Adobe Lightroom, enabling them to export images to the above-mentioned platforms.
