Admission to PhD program at RGCB

Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB) has invited applications for PhD program from January 2027 in various fields of Biotechnology.

Candidates with Post Graduate Degree with minimum 60% marks and four year Bachelor Degree with minimum 75% marks or equivalent in UGC 10 point scale in Life/Agricultural/Environmental/Veterinary/Pharmaceutical/Medical Sciences or allied subjects are eligible to apply.

Aspirants should also have a valid JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) of UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT for five years offered by Govt.

Applicant should be under 28 years of age as on the last date of application submission. However, the upper age limit may be relaxed up to five years in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities (PwD)/female applicants and three years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants. The reservation criteria will be applied as per GOI rules and regulations. The last date for submission of online applications is November 8, 2026.
