The Chief Minister of Pinaraya Vijayan said that the port of Azhikkal is the central point of the development of Kannura, as the government is trying to forward the infrastructure plans under the Partnership regime of the public and private sector (PPP).
On Friday, he spoke at a meeting at the district level, which took place on the fourth anniversary of the democratic leading government, the main minister said that administrative approval was awarded for the construction of a customs warehouse in the port.
He said that efforts to integrate road development associated with the port of the Sagarmala project in the center. “Azhikkal Port is a priority for the government and properly dredging is required to maintain adequate depth. The dough that was previously used had to be diverted to Muthalakuzhi due to a special situation,” he noted. He said that steps would be taken to cover the dredging.
While the electronic data commissioning system must be still functional in Azhikkal, Mr. Vijayan said that customs activities can be processed through the Kozhikode system. The plans were to establish a similar facility in Azhikkal in contemporary fiscal fiscal, he said.
