As part of ‘Operation Crackdown 1.0’, the Adilabad police arrested four persons and identified as many as 74 suspicious bank accounts for mullahs, which were linked to 12 cyber fraud complaints from across the country reported through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP).
According to the police, as many as 12 cases related to cyber fraud involving a fraud of ₹7.01 crore have been registered at various police stations in Adilabad district. These cases were linked to fake trading, online gaming and betting fraud.
