The report on the investigation presented by the Chief of the State Police Ravada A. Chandrasekhar allegedly admits to the home secretary that the next CEO (ADGP) Mr. Ajith Kumar has been forfeited by traveling from Pampa to the place near Sabarimala Sannidhanam.
ADGP himself admitted that he was traveling to the police tractor. In the report of the main police boss, he mentions that this should be prevented and such incidents should not be repeated.
Although the report does not contain any recommendations for disciplinary action, because it is this matter, the main minister who processes the domestic portfolio, is likely to accept an incident call on the basis of court instructions.
The tractors are supposed to transport goods to the hill temple. In 2021, the Krala High Court forbade people to travel on tractors because of the risk associated with the road along the crowded trekking path and ruthless field rides.
Last week, the High Court in Kerala described the act of Mr. Kumar as “unfortunate”. He also presented a letter to the Chief of the State Police, who said he had joined the tractor because he was “tired of climbing the trekking road”.
R. Jayakrishnan, a special commissioner of Sabarimala, reported that ADGP had violated the court directive so that he could not allow people to use tractors for transporting goods to Sannidhanam.
