Adarana-3 scheme to be restarted soon, says Viswabrahmin Corporation chief

The Andhra Pradesh government will soon relaunch the ‘Adarana-3’ scheme and distribute modern tools to traditional artisans, AP Viswabrahmin Welfare and Development Corporation Chairperson Kammari Parvathi said.

Addressing the nationwide Devashilpi Virat Vishwakarma Bhagavan Jayanti celebrations organized by the Backward Classes Welfare Department at Tummalapalli Kala Kshetram in Vijayawada on Thursday, Ms. Parvathi said the government was committed to the welfare and economic development of the Vishwabrahmins, adding that a special community action plan was being prepared.

Ms. Parvathi said that a proposal to provide pensions to Vishwabrahmin artisans from the age of 50 has been submitted to the government. She hoped that a favorable decision would be taken.

Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Ramamohan highlighted the contribution of Vishwakarma artisans to Indian culture and society. Chairman of Kummari Shalivahana Corporation Perepi Eshwar, former Chairman of Viswabrahmin Corporation Simhadri Kanakachari participated in the programme.
