Adani Power said on Saturday (September 13, 2025) that it will set up an ultra -critical power plant of 2,400 MW in Bihar for investing $ 3 billion (around $ 26,482).
Adani Group Company said in a statement that it has signed a 25 -year energy supply agreement (PSA) with Bihar State Power Company Ltd. (BSPGCL) to supply energy from a project that appears in Pirpainti in the Bhagalpur district in the State.
PPA is also in a letter issued by BSPGCL company Adani Power named North Bihar Distribution Company LTD (NBPDCL) and South Bihar Power Distribution Company LTD (SBPDCL).
Adani Power won the project by offering the lowest range of offer for 6.075 GBP per kWh.
The company said it plans to invest approximately $ 3 billion in the construction of a new plant (800 MW x 3) and its support infrastructure in the design, construction, finance, own and operation (DBFOO). The company’s goal is to enter the race in 60 months.
The interconnection of coal for the power plant was assigned within the Shakti Indian policy.
The project will generate direct and indirect employment for 10,000–12,000 people during the construction phase and 3,000 once in operation.
Adani Power, a group of Gautam Adani billionaires, is the largest private thermal energy manufacturer in India. It has an installed thermal energy capacity of 18 110 MW.
