Actor Ansiba Hassan’s complaint: Court directs registration of FIR against Lakshmipriya, SI

The First Class Judicial Court, Thripunithura, directed the Hill Palace police to register an FIR against actor Lakshmipriya and one woman police sub-inspector (SI) on the complaint of actor Ansiba Hassan.

Ms Hassan, former joint secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), gave her statement before a judge on Saturday, after which the court directed the police to register an FIR. She accused Ms. Lakshmipriya of filing a false complaint against her and Reshma, SI women’s cell, of subjecting her to harassment and illegal detention in the name of “verifying” the allegations against her.

Ms Hassan said she decided to file the complaint as she felt “insulted” by the act of Ms Reshma, who allegedly allowed Ms Lakshmipriya and her husband to join her while they “interrogated” her in the name of verifying the allegations.
