
Environmental activists wrote to the Chief Minister Karnataka Siddaramaiaha, who called on him to immediately hit and prevent 368 trees on the Bengaluru Cantonment.
To facilitate the structure, the railroads were looking for permission of the forest cells of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on the second of the trees. Then the Deputy Conservator of the Forest (DCF) invited public objections 25 April 2025.
The letter of Ramaswamy, the environmental activist, said the campaign held on the World Environment (5th June) took part in the coarse, retirement officials and environmentalists, asking trees to be rescued and the soil declared a park of biodiversity.
The group accused the forest article of BBMP for prioritizing corporate interests in public health and green coverage. They called on the main minister to issue immediate instructions to stop the felling and to protect the rapidly decreasing city canopy Bengaluru.
In April, Hind first reported that BBMP issued a public announcement that raised objections to the proposed felling of 368 trees located inside the colony. The Railway Development Office (RLDA), under the Ministry of Railways, sought out permission to remove trees within its “commercial development project” planned on the spot.
