
New Delhi: Lightning floods are probably in some districts of Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipure and Tripura in the next 24 hours, the meteorological office warned on Wednesday.
According to the Indian meteorological department (IMD), surface runoff and inundation may occur in some fully saturated and low -lying areas due to expected precipitation. In addition, several districts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are also probably witnessing lightning floods.
The active monsoon conditions are likely to continue many parts of the northwest, Central and East India over the next 6-7 days, the weather office said.
