RT Nagar police have registered a FIR against an unidentified man for allegedly abusing enumerators and obstructing their work for the National Census – 2027.
According to the complaint, Veena, Census Commissioner posted in Ward No. 43, visited Peri Monarch Apartment near Sultanpalya Main Road, RT Nagar on April 20 to collect census data. However, the accused resident allegedly refused to provide the requested information. During follow-up verification on 25th April, Supervisor (Circle–2) Rashmi R. visited the same place. When finding out details about the number of apartments and the ongoing population census, he allegedly refused to cooperate, denied entry to the apartment premises and thwarted the census. Despite repeated requests, the individual allegedly used abusive language towards officials, including abusive remarks directed at female staff, causing humiliation and interfering with official duties.
