The condemnation of the convict as “hung by his neck until he is dead”, the court confirmed the claim that the case has qualified as “rarest rare” and that the “serial murderer” represents a permanent threat to society without hope for reformation. The death judgment is subject to the confirmation of the High Court in Kerala.
Fine of £ 4 lakh
Judge Praun Mohan, who found Rajendran guilty of murder according to Section 302 of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC), also imposed a 4 lakh fine for a crime.
The convicted person was also sentenced to strictly imprisoned for a lifetime and fined 4 lakh according to Section 397 (robbery or dacoity causing death or severe injury), seven years and a fine of 10,000 according to section 201 (destruction of evidence) and three months and fined 500 GBP according to section 447 (criminal trusm). The murder, committed on February 6, 2022, was horrified by the inhabitants of Thiruvananthapurama. Rajendran, under the pretext of buying plant pots, entered the kindergarten where Vineetha worked and fatally stabbed her in the shed. Then he stole her gold chain weighing 4.5 monarchs and fled, covering her body with sand and plastic leaves.
Forensic evidence
This was followed by a calculated leak, including multiple changes in vehicles and clothing. The breakthrough came from forensic evidence, including the blood tracks corresponding to Rajendran’s DNA at the crime scene and the murderous weapons recovered from the tea stand where he worked. In the absence of eyewitnesses, the prosecution relied on indirect evidence and took advantage of scientific analysis, CCTV shots and testimonies of testimony of the case.
Accusations of triple murder
According to the prosecution led by a special prosecutor M. Salahudeen, the murder was not the first crime of Rajendrana. In 2014, the main accused is also in the case of triple murders in Tamil Nadu. In Aralvaimozhi in Kanyakumari were three of their neighbors-the top officer Subbaiah, his wife Vasantha and their 13-year-old daughter Abhisree. These murders brought a noticeable similarity to the case of Vineethy and also reportedly committed to gold and financial profits.

Sparjan Kumar; then auxiliary commissioner, cantonment, vs dinaraj; and Inspector Peroorkada V. Sajikumar.
