Paying households and equipment near rainwater outlet in Rasoolpura during Friday’s torrential downpour withdraws between the inhabitants of the area and the agency for the protection of disasters in Hyderabad (Hydraa).
Members of the famous family after the appointment of Patny Colony were appointed in a bitter argument with the chief chief of Hydraa Av Ranganath, who accused the agency action more than a month ago as a reason for the flooding of the colony and the surrounding areas.
“All houses in Patny Colon were flooded. Three vehicle service centers in Viman Nagar were under four feet water. It entered the engines of several cars and motor cycles provided for service. Losses for individuals and businesses were huge,” said Ch. Ramacandra, resident.

A representative of the automobile center, which suffered damage, said it was still evaluating the situation, because the center was flooded again on Saturday due to heavy rain. Mr. Ranganath traveled in an area in the ship and watched rescue operations on Friday. More than 100 people, most of whom stuck in offices nearby, were saved by ships.
On 6 June this year, Hydraa demolished what the agency called the interventions in the outflow, and the Hydraa statement said that the expansion of the outflow and the retaining wall will be started immediately and completed within 15 days. During the operation, six structures were downloaded on the 150 -meter section, most of them composed walls.
“The drain has a retaining wall only towards the side, which is under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. There was no supporting wall on the section that falls under the canton board, but only composed walls built by private individuals to protect their property,” the resident was informed on the condition of anonymity. Private homeowners even built their own smaller drains, which were emptied into the main Nala walls.
As the walls pulled down, the abundant flood water passed through the colonies and flooded with anything that came in the way. Now Hydraa has used sand bags to block the flood water in the colony.
The chorus heard from the inhabitants that Hydraa should not run during the monsoons and not before defining the drain boundaries according to the income map.
However, Mr. Ranganath justifies the action and stated that the operation has begun to avoid greater disaster in other colonies in the canton, which is experiencing floods every year, of which the inhabitants reportedly approached the agency with complaints.
“The construction of the retaining wall would be completed if we were not defended by several people who turned to the court against the operation,” he said. He said that fifteen days ago, Hydraa’s forces were stopped from the construction of the retaining wall by the same residents who entered the argument with Himon on Friday.
The drain in the center of the controversy carries excess water from Boin Cheruvu from Hasmathpet and added another minor drain from the Jubilee bus station, which was again built in the place where there was once a picke Lake. It then proceeds from the Ministry of Road to join Hussainsagar.
Near the pass under the road Sardar Patel of Begumpets, the drain is up to 60 feet wide and further near the minister’s road, the width increases to more than 70 feet. At the point where the structures were demolished, the drain contains less than 20 feet due to the absence of wall maintaining and uncontrollable interventions.
