The Karnataka Municipalities and Certain Other Laws (Amendment) Act, 2026, which contains provisions on advertisements at par with the provisions of the Greater Bengaluru Administration Act, 2024, in respect of collection and collection of advertisement fees, regulation of unauthorized advertisements and verification of fees and penalties by municipalities and municipalities was introduced in the legislature on Friday. Urban Development Minister Byrathi Suresh introduced the bill in the House and it will be debated next week.
