ACB raids properties of HMWSSB CEO and recovers ₹1.05 crore in cash during searches
The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday (May 19, 2026) launched simultaneous raids at several places associated with Kumar, the general manager of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) Red Hills division, in connection with the disproportionate assets case.
According to officials, five ACB teams started searching the properties associated with the accused, including his residence in Mallapur, from the early hours of Tuesday (May 19, 2026).
During the searches, officials recovered cash amounting to ₹1.05 million from the house of the accused officer.
The raids were launched after the ACB registered a case of disproportionate assets against Kumar. Officials said searches were conducted at several locations as part of the ongoing investigation.
Further investigation is underway.
