
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught a Tadepalligud town inspector allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹50,000 in West Godavari district on Tuesday.
Defendant R. Ramakrishna completed the survey of the complainant’s sites in January 2026 but demanded a bribe for issuing the survey report.
Acting on the complaint, Eluru ACB officials registered a case against Ramakrishna under the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act, 1988. He was caught red-handed while receiving the amount at his Tadepalligudem residence. The accused will be produced before the ACB court in Rajahmundry.
Searches were conducted at the inspector’s office in the city’s Tadepalligudem area and his properties, ACB officials said in a press release.
