Daytime temperatures are likely to be above normal over most parts of Kerala on Friday (March 27, 2026). According to the weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday, maximum temperatures at isolated places in Kollam, Kottayam and Palakkad districts are very likely to be around 38°C; 37°C in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kozhikode and Kannur districts; and 36°C in Thiruvananthapuram, Malappuram and Kasargod districts (2 to 3°C above normal) on Friday.
These districts are very likely to experience hot and humid weather, except in the hilly areas. Meanwhile, summer showers are likely to occur across the state from Friday as a trough in the east moves from Marathwada to south interior Karnataka through north interior Karnataka at a height of 0.9 km above mean sea level. Isolated thunderstorms are likely over the next four days under the system’s influence, the bulletin said.
