Given that preparations intensify the immersion of Ganesh IDOL 5 September, the Hyderabad Municipal Police announced comprehensive security and logistics arrangements throughout the city.
Nine cranes, including Hussaainsagar, Mir Alam Tank, Rajanna Bavi and NTR Stadium, with plans to increase the number of up to 40 by the last day were introduced at key points of immersion. Khairatabad Ganesh, which attracts 60,000 to 70,000 visitors and between 1-2 lakh daily, is expected to attract large crowds a day, making the authorities tighten and prevent stamps.
During a visit to Khairatabad Bada Ganesh on Thursday, police commissioner Hyderabad CV Anand emphasized extensive coordination with the organizers of the Pandals, Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and various government departments.
He said that about 30,000 police staff, of which 19 000 from Hyderabad Force, 8,500 from the external districts, 42 platoons, 10 companies of central armed police forces (CAPF) and octopus, will be deployed throughout the city. CCTV cameras, drones and monitoring based on QR code will be used to supervise immersion processions, while the joint inspection centers were set up in NTR Marg, Plaza People’s Plaza and TG ICCC in Banjara Hills, which will work on the day of immersion.
It will advise organizers in the field of safety, especially in heavy rains, the clerk urged caution with electricity and advised the mandap committees to seek proper connection, even if free electricity is provided and ensures careful processing of wet wood. He also recommended to name volunteers to manage barricades and maintain order, especially during the night hours.
