Abolish personality test in KPSC recruitment: Congress leader

Congress Vice President SA Hussain has urged Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to end the personality test in Karnataka Public Service Commission recruitment. The selection should be based on a written version, he suggested.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, he said that the interview is one of the stages where nothing is recorded in a reviewable form and contributes very little to the evaluation of merit.

Andhra Pradesh and Telengana have removed it and the Union government has canceled interviews for Group B, C and D posts, he said.

Karnataka has removed Group A and Group B interviews, he pointed out.
