Both the Congress and the AAP on Tuesday (Nov 11, 2025) attacked the government over alleged security lapses that “led to the Red Fort blast” that left over a dozen dead. This comes after Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced compensation of ₹ 10 lakh each to the families of the deceased.

“Those permanently disabled due to the blast will get ₹5 lakh, those seriously injured ₹2 lakh and those with minor injuries ₹20,000,” the chief minister’s office said in a statement.
The Delhi unit of the CPI(M) appealed to the people to stand united against terrorism and against the politics of hatred that seeks to divide the society. The party also appealed to the people of Delhi to maintain peace and unity and not succumb to provocations.
Both Congress and AAP delegations visited the injured at the LNJP hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
The hospital refuses an ambulance
AAP said sympathy on social media is worthless if the government cannot even provide ambulances for families to take the dead bodies home. There were complaints that LNJP Hospital did not provide ambulances to the families of the deceased on Monday.
After meeting the injured victims and aggrieved families, AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj said that whenever a major tragedy occurs, the leaders of power issue a formal statement expressing condolences and prayers for the bereaved families and the injured.
“But these messages should not be just for Twitter, WhatsApp or Facebook. The government must be serious about what it says. When a family loses someone, there is no point in writing a condolence message if the government cannot even provide an ambulance to take the deceased home,” he said.
Mr Bharadwaj pointed out that Delhi’s biggest hospital, which was visited by the Union Home Minister and the Chief Minister, who both said “everything is fine”, could not provide an ambulance for the poor families who had lost their loved ones. “If the government does not have ambulances for such victims, it is extremely shameful and painful,” he said.
Warnings ignored
Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav met the injured and said, “Congress is raising questions about law and order in Delhi which have not been taken seriously and the city is now facing this tragedy in which many innocent people have lost their lives.
He also demanded that the government pay compensation of ₹50 million to the families of the deceased and ₹5 million each to the injured.
“There is a BJP government in both Delhi and Haryana and the home minister has not received any answers to questions related to the blast; and the suspects in the Pahalgam terror attack are still at large,” he said.
AAP also claimed that the law and order situation in Delhi is in shambles.
The Delhi BJP did not respond to these allegations.
