The left-hander smashed 51 off 27 balls as RR chased down the target with six wickets in hand and four balls to spare.

He was part of the T20 World Cup 2024 winning team and then he was dropped. Everyone is picked and dropped but nobody is talking about him. I am not saying he should be picked. I understand there is no vacancy,” Chopra said.He further highlighted that the opener has continued to deliver in the IPL, maintaining a healthy average as well as strike rates for several seasons.“If you see his IPL numbers over the last three years, he’s scored and has a good average and strike rate. He’s doing everything right. But forget the pick, it’s not even part of the conversation. What happened after 2024 was like taking a fly out of milk and throwing it away. What was the guy’s mistake?” he added.Chopra also pointed to a subtle shift in Jaiswal’s batting approach this season, suggesting the youngster may be aiming for a more sustained impact rather than explosive starts. He noticed that Jaiswal looked more measured and struggled to build his innings outside the Powerplay, which was evident in the chase against PBKS.In the same discussion, Chopra reserved special praise for teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who provided early momentum with a blistering tap.“The guy is maturing. He is getting better day by day. Arshdeep Singh bowled yorkers on the first two balls and defended them. He realized that Arshdeep would have to do something else because his reputation came before him. Arshdeep brought the ball, was on his feet and played a pick-up shot for a six,” Chopra said.

Is Aakash Chopra right to highlight Jaiswal’s omission?
He highlighted how Sooryavanshi’s approach forced the bowlers to adjust and ultimately shifted the pressure back to Punjab.“The pressure carried over. Then he got a short ball outside and hit it to the left of the spike. That tells you he’s got a little bit more time. He’s trying to play more shots over the middle and bowler. He was aggressive now and he’s so mature now. His character is great,” he noted.Sooryavanshi smashed 43 off just 16 balls, putting together a quick 51-run opening stand with Jaiswal in just 3.2 overs, laying the perfect platform for Rajasthan Royals’ successful chase.
