Aadhaar Face Verification would help competitive tests to improve “transparency, build confidence among applicants and strengthen administrative liability”, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said on Wednesday (August 6, 2025).
In a written answer to the question approved by eight Lok Sabha deputies, the Ministry emphasized that two investigative bodies – the Commission for the selection of employees and the Railway Recruitment Council – are already authorized to use the Aadhaar facial recognition to verify the examined.
Aadhaar Face Authentication, using the “nutrient” factor with basic telephone cameras, combines people with a photo they have taken when enrolling in Aadhaar, and this function has seen an increased interest between government authorities. For example, the Employment Employment Fund (EPFO) said last month that universal account numbers, the main identification number for paid employees and pensioners with PF accounts would only be generated from this function.

India Post Payments Bank, under the Ministry of Jobs of the Ministry of Communication, also presented Aadhaar Face verification this month.
