A woman stabbed her husband to death following a dispute near Sattur

Following a domestic dispute, a 27-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her husband to death at their home near Sattur on Tuesday (July 7, 2026) night.

Police said M. Divya Bharathi and S. Mani (34) had been married for eight years.

Mani, who was employed in a paper mill, was said to have been arguing with her for a long time due to suspicions about their marital relationship.

In a similar argument on Tuesday night, Bharati allegedly attacked him with a knife, causing bleeding injuries to his head and left thigh, police said.

However, she told police he slipped and died during the scuffle.

During the investigation, the police found that Mani died due to excessive bleeding caused by stab wounds.

Further investigation by the Sattur Taluk police is underway.
