
The 45 -year -old woman was robbed on Wednesday about eight monarchs of gold jewelry (mangalsuzu) at the inpatient ward at the Taluk Government Hospital in Tirupattur.
The police said the victim was identified as S. Kalpana, an agricultural worker near Jolarpet. The initial investigation revealed that together with her husband B. Sankar (51), a farmer in Pachal Village, Kalpana was visited by her relative G. Kumar (65), who undergoes treatment of age -related disease.
During the interview, the police said that Kumar told Sankar that he needed someone to take care of him before he was released a week later. Subsequently, Kalpana stayed with him in the ward.
On Wednesday morning, when she got up, Kalpana found that her mangalsura was missing. Immediately pointed out hospitals that reported the city police Tirupattur. The police inspected the hospital premises, including the department of patients and parking space. A case was registered.
