The divisional police in Kakinada arrested two women on Monday in connection with the alleged killing of a five -month -old girl before throwing her dead body into an open well in Pithapuram in Kakinada 6. The incident appeared after the child’s father filed a complaint against the police.
In the official release of Kakinada, a deputy police director (DSP) Dedraj Patil said, “Nineteen -year -old P. Sailaja with the support of Mother, P. Annavaram, hatched a plan to kill his former daughters, pedapati Yashmitha.
The obvious reason for the extreme step is allegedly caused by disputes between Mrs. Sailaja and her husband P. Satish. A year ago, the duo fled and married. Mrs. Sailaja, however, stayed with her mother in her parents’ house in Pithapuram.
“The defendant, Mrs. Sailaja and Mrs. Annavaram, decided to rule out the child to make the way for the second wedding of Shailaja,” DSP said.
The accused allegedly tried to see that the child died for witchcraft. The accused were arrested and made on Monday before the local court. The police registered the case and the investigation is turned on.
