Police arrested a branch of the district crime on Monday a thirty -year -old woman from Vriddhamam for accusing that she was involved in fraud that cheated on several people with false promises of lucrative yields in the stock market.
Arrested, identified as P. Pradha of VirathtiDpam near Vriddhamu, was made before the local court and advanced to custody. The arrest followed the complaint filed by one of the victims with the DCB.
The police said that the complainant had been victims of cash fraud through false shares trafficking and deposited 72.65 GBP Lakh in various bank accounts. The complainant realized that she was deceived only after she was unable to obtain the promised returns.
The police said that the accused, together with several others employed, missed a number of individuals to believe that their investments were profitable, and thus made them impose a significant amount of money. A case was registered.
