At least nine Thai monks were blackmailed from an incredible 385 million baht ( £102.14 crore) for the last three years a single woman. Yes, just one woman!
According to the BBC news report, this woman, which the police referred to as “Mrs. Golf”, reportedly dealt with sexual activities with monks and then used pictures and videos of the law to blackmail money.
During the investigation, more than 80,000 photos and videos used to blackmail monks were found in her house.
The case first reached police attention in mid -June after the abbot suddenly left the monk in Bangkok.

According to the Thai police, Mrs. Golf “had a relationship with the monk in May 2024. Later she said she had her child and demanded the child’s support of more than 7 million baht.
After the investigation, however, the police learned that other monks were blackmailed in a similar way and called it “Modus operandi”.
Almost all the money she was blackmail was downloaded and some of them were used for online gambling, the police said.
Fees against a woman
Mrs. Golf, a woman for a millions scandal, faces more fees, including blackmail, money washing and receiving stolen goods.
