Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) today launched a “week of awareness of drug awareness” in the command and control center Banjar Hills with an extensive inaugural event aimed at spreading awareness of the growing threat of drug abuse.
The program, which will continue until June 26, was formally inaugurated by Telangana DGP Jitender. He also visited the stands of awareness established by various departments and partner organizations working in the field of drug prevention and rehabilitation.
This event was attended by almost 2,000 students from 15 schools throughout the city. The officers dealt with the assembly and emphasized the risk of drug use and encouraged students to become ambassadors without drugs.
Nine departments and organizations, including Mission Parivarthan, Institute of Mental Health, ASHA Hospital, TGCSB, Wine Safety Wing, Telangana Academy for Skills and Knowledge (Task) and City Security Council, Rachakond and Hyderabad, showed their contributions through informative stalls.
Students took a collective promise to delay drugs and act as responsible “drug soldiers” in their communities. This event brought a positive reaction of students and participants with a clear emphasis on awareness and alertness led by the community.
The event was attended by several higher officials, including the director of Tganb Sandeep Shandilya; Director, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) Shikha Goel; Other Police Commissioner (Law & Order), Hyderabad, Vikram Singh Mann; District collector, Hyderabad Hari Chandana Dasari; Director, Tgiccc VB Kamalasan Reddy; Dig Hyderabad Admin Parimala Hana Nutan; and kick, TGANB, Abhishek Mohanta.
