A web portal for real-time monitoring of road rehabilitation work in Pathanamthitta
The District Disaster Management Authority has launched a web portal that enables real-time tracking of road rehabilitation work being carried out with disaster management funds following damage caused by floods, landslides and other natural calamities.
The portal was designed to address the lack of a unified system for monitoring the progress of work, from the granting of administrative sanction to the release of payments to contractors. The portal allows you to track 12 project stages in real time, from the administrative sanction to the payment of the invoice. It includes an integrated dashboard, filters, reports and document management facilities, allowing stakeholders to track the status of work at various stages.
Lawmakers will also be able to directly monitor the progress of works being carried out in their respective constituencies. The portal has a four-tier secure login system for Executive Agencies, MLAs, Super Administrators and Administrators.
For transparency
The model, which aims to improve transparency and speed up the execution of disaster-related works, was developed by Ajith Sreenivasan, junior superintendent in the disaster management section of the Collectorate.
Meanwhile, the Environment Committee of the Kerala Legislative Assembly (2026-29) will hold a meeting at the Collectorate conference hall on Tuesday from 10 am to hear submissions on environmental issues, particularly those arising out of the recent monsoon-related disasters in the district.
District officials of concerned unions, environmental activists and the public will be called before the committee. The public may submit complaints and objections directly to the jury between 10:00 A.M. and 11 o’clock
The committee will also receive petitions from individuals and organizations on environmental issues before visiting the flood-affected areas in the district.
Those submitting petitions are asked to provide their full address along with a telephone number or email.
