
The two -day national seminar exploring various aspects of the cultural and daily existence of tribal communities will begin at the Loyola College of Social Science in Sreekary on Thursday.
The Minister of the Planned Cast and Planned Tribes or Keel on Thursday will start the seminar “Blashs of tribal life: knowledge and intangible expressions”. Renu Raj, director, planned department of tribal development, will chair an inauguration function. Sanal Mohan, historian and former director of the Historical Research Council in Kerala (KHRC), will deliver the main address.
Organized by the Ministry of Management of MSW Catastrophery at Loyola College in cooperation with the Kerala Institute for Research, Training and Development of Studies of Planned Cast and Planned Tribes (Kirtads), Kozhikode, Workshop, associating activists, scholars, scholars, artists, ethnic experts on food and community representatives and further. The aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of tribal life with a focus on cultural, ecological and sociopolitical dimensions.
The event will present the presentation of academic papers of scientists from all over the country, thematic panel discussion and interactive session led by members of the tribal communities.
The exhibition presents works of art, crafts and indigenous knowledge systems that curator artists and experts will be open.
The second day of the workshop will include two online lectures to designate the world of indigenous people. Linguist and literary theorist GN Devy will speak of existential crises facing tribal communities in India, while the Canadian scholar Zoe Todd will be considered to lose the sovereignty between native populations in Western Canada.
