With operating operators of trucks in Karnataka, they start an indefinite strike from midnight on Monday (April 14, 2025), trucks from different districts operating along Satyamangalam – Bannari – Dhimbam – Hasanur, remained on Tuesday (April 15).
The strike, which announced that it demanded a refund of a recent increase in the price of diesel and a reduction in toll fees, stopped the movement of the goods. Hundreds of trucks loaded with vegetables, fruit, milk, poultry, sugar cane, agricultural and non -agricultural production, coconut and industrial goods transport products between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka daily. Most of these trucks come from Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore and neighboring districts.

However, because of the strike, most trucks, except those carrying basic objects, remained and parked along the roads in Satyamangalam and the surrounding areas. The owners of trucks said they would continue to load their vehicles after the strike was removed. Usually busy control post-contributions in Bannari and Karapallam wore an abandoned look, passing only by private vehicles.
The forest department official told the Hindes that, despite the Karapallam control post, more than 1,200 trucks-retreating to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu passed daily. “On Monday, the truck movement dropped by 50% and was minimal on Tuesday,” he added.
