The Indian Communist Party (Marxist) built its weight as a candidate for the Congress for Kaliganj Bypoll in the district of Nadia in West Bengals and encourages a three -way competition. Congress named Kabil Uddin Shaikh for his candidate and CPI (m) left left front expanded his support for him.
On Saturday, Bharatiya Janata (BJP) nominated Ashis Ghosh for her candidate for Kaliganj. Elections in the constituency were necessary by the death of the Congress of the Trinamool Mla Nasir Ahmed. Trinamool nominated the deceased daughter of Mla Alifa Ahmed to compete from the seat. The vote in the election district will be held 19 June and the results will be announced on 23 June.
Alifa Ahmed submitted a nomination document on May 30. After her nomination, Mrs. Ahmed said that Trinamool was committed to strengthen the position of women because 38% of women had put in Lok Sabha in recent surveys.
State President BJP Sukant Majumdar said on Saturday that Mr. Ghosh was a member of the local Panchayat and the former mandala of the Party Party. “Ghosh is a loyal and devoted part of the parties. He will play an important role in the fulfillment of organizational goals,” Majumdar said. In the last elections to the Assembly, Trinamool has provided 53%, BJP 31% and Congress 12% of voting share.
At the beginning of this week, the office of the main election officer (CEO) announced West Bengal that 20 Central Armed Police (CAPFs) companies will be deployed in Kaliganji Pro Bypoll.
