The district collector O. Anand created a three -member committee that explored the death of one and crescent child in Shishu Gruh in Anantapore. In a statement issued on Sunday (October 5, 2025), the collector stated that the committee would have members of the DM&M Dr. OB Devi, project director of ICDS M. Nagamani and Government General Dr. Ravikumara. The Committee was asked to carry out a detailed investigation and immediately submit a message.
“Based on the report, the measures will be taken against those responsible for the child’s death,” the collector said, adding that the incident would be constantly reviewed at a higher level.
On Sunday evening, the committee members visited Shishu Gruh and questioned Deepti manager, Lakshmi Devi, Ayahs, Ayahs, anMS and coordinator separately.
There was an accusation that some Ayahs and workers did not feed milk to the child leading to death. The members of the Committee stated that the collector would be sent a detailed report.
