A student donates a thread portrait to Jagga Reddy and seeks help in resuming his studies

Bhavani presents a thread portrait to Congress leader T. Jagga Reddy at Sangareddy on Sunday.

A ten-day effort to create a thread portrait of Congress leader T. Jagga Reddy has helped a student from Kappad village in Sangareddy district seek his intervention to resolve a long-standing land dispute that forced her to postpone her studies.

A former model school student, Bhavani is attending the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) course and has already completed his first degree. However, for the last six months, she was deterred from her studies by financial difficulties.

Her family owns 2.5 acres of land, but a dispute over the property has remained unresolved with the revenue authorities for the past 12 years. The inability to sell the property deepened their financial difficulties.

When her father suggested that she discontinue her studies due to the family’s financial situation, Bhavani decided to find a way to resume her education.

Interested in art since childhood, Bhavani decided to prepare a special gift for Jagga Reddy when she met him to seek his help. She spent 10 days painstakingly creating his portrait and presented it to Mr. Jagga Reddy.

When Mr. Jagga Reddy came to know the circumstances behind the donation, he assured her that he would speak to Sangaredda Collector Prateek Jain and work to resolve the issue. He also encouraged her not to give up on her education and promised to provide support.
