The Kozhikode Corporation Council Council, which took place on Wednesday, witnessed upset scenes when one of the members of Bharatiya Janata (BJP) allegedly despised Mahatma Gandhi.
This also led the mayor of Beey Philip to release a formal warning CS Satyabham, a member representing Athanikkal Ward. Mrs. Satyabham reportedly made notes during the discussion of an urgent submission moved by a member of the MC Sudhanani Congress, who condemned a terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mrs. Sudhamans claimed that the attack was the result of the release of the Union government and demanded that strict steps be taken against terrorists. She argued that even five years after the abolition of the special state of Jamm and Kashmir, terrorism was unable to eradicate terrorism from there.
BJP T. Raneesh, however, raised objections to the references to the Union government and demanded that it be removed. The united democratic front (UDF) and members of the Democratic Front (LDF) said the demand of Mr. Raneesh was not acceptable. This made other BJP members to express support Mr. Raneesh, followed by arguments and countermeasures between the two sides. Mrs. Satyabham reportedly made contemptible remarks during Melee.
Subsequently, Deputy Mayor of CP Musafar Ahamed and LDF and UDF were looking for members against her. Mrs. Philip later released Mrs. Satyabham’s warning. Later the meeting approved the submission of the moved Mrs. Sudhamani.
