A spectacled cobra (Naja naja) was rescued from a house in a remote village in Karukonda Ramavaram Gram Panchayat of Bhadradri Kothagud district on Tuesday evening.
Members of the Pranadhara Trust, led by its founder president Santosh Babu, rushed to the spot after local villagers alerted them to the presence of a venomous snake in a house in a remote village. Team members rescued a snake that had wandered into the house from the nearby edge of the forest. The entire rescue operation took several hours, the press release said.
The snake was released in the forest area by members of the snake rescue team after informing the local forest personnel on Wednesday morning.
