The software engineer, formerly arrested for the rape of a woman for a false promise of marriage, was sentenced to 20 years of strict imprisonment of Rangareddy on Tuesday.
The court also accused a fine of 5,100 GBP, while the victim was awarded a replacement of 2 Lakh.
The defendant, identified as Swagat Kumar Bhoi, 42, was arrested by the Police Gachibowli after the victim’s complaint in November 2017, who said he was in relation to the accused since 2009. The complainant later found that Bhoi was planning to marry another woman in Odish 28 November 2017. When he was confronted, he abused her and threatened her and her family with terrible consequences.
After the investigation and court of the judge for the next district and the meeting of XIII in LB Nagar, he found him guilty and declared a punishment.
