
The recent Reddit post has set on an online discussion after an anonymous user claimed that the Indian housing financing company allegedly forced employees to work for a week, including Saturday and Sunday (23-24 August).
The company, connected to the post with the original poster, caused criticism when the user evoked what they described as the “toxic work culture” of the company.
According to the paper, there were no further compensation or other leave to employees who worked for hours at the weekend.

The original poster, whose identity cannot be confirmed, expressed a profound disappointment of the principles of the company.
“The world is aimed at 4 -day work a week, and this Indian company for housing financing has the courage to ask their employees to work 7 days a week,” wrote Redditor, adding that employees were forced to work “without any compensation or special off to throw Indian working laws.”
In an e-mail attached to the Reddit post, the company reminded its employees that all centers, branches, credit teams for loans and marketing teams were expected to have “lagging for the month” for the weekend (23-24 August).
The company expressed dissatisfaction that some employees decided to work from home on Saturday 23rd August. He also claimed that responsible hubs were not informed of the physical absence of the Office of certain POS and SOS.
E -mail further stated that “work from home does not provide the same level of productivity as work from the office” and described that “this type of attitude is considered negligence to the core”.
E -mail ended with a warning in which the company said that if someone could not achieve the goals set for each branch and a hub, then they would face the “serious consequences” of the future.

Reddit users commented on the post while some expressed disappointment, some offered suggestions on how to solve the situation.
The user suggested: “You must take it to the tribunal. Working laws in India do not allow work for 7 days if you do not get 4 days off or 1 week compensatory 1 day for each 5 worked (sic).”
