The lawyer of the survivor in the actor rape case, TB Mini, has filed a complaint before the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court alleging that the Ernakulam District and Principal Sessions Judge, who pronounced the verdict in the case, on Monday (12 January 2026) made derogatory remarks against her as well as the prosecution’s surviving witnesses and witnesses.
“Judge Honey M. Varghese made very derogatory, false and disparaging comments about me in a public court hearing where members of the media were present. She claimed that I was present less than 10 days during the trial, that I usually slept during the less than 30 minutes I was there each time, and that I treated court as a place of rest,” Ms. Mini said.
“These disparaging remarks were made publicly to tarnish my image and reputation in the public eye and tarnish my legal profession,” Ms Mini added.
